The blinking lights at the Silver Spur truck stop in Tucumcari had me second-guessing everything

I stopped there on a family drive last month to grab coffee around 2 AM, and the gas station sign kept flickering in a pattern that matched the radio static perfectly. My husband thought I was nuts, but the loop repeated exactly every 40 seconds, almost like it was signaling something to the semis parked out back. Has anyone else seen a place where the tech seems to be doing way more than just advertising?

That flickering is just a bad ballast in the fixture, happens all the time with cheap signs. Radio static at 2 AM is mostly atmospheric noise from distant storms, so the timing match is pure coincidence. Truckers park out back because it's flat and quiet, not because they're getting coded messages from a gas station sign. It's way more likely your brain was tired and looking for patterns that weren't there.
