The Walmart tint trick for car windows is actually legit
I kept getting crap from cops about my side windows being too dark. Paid $200 for a professional tint job and it still wasn't dark enough. So I grabbed a $15 roll of automotive tint from the Walmart in Tulsa. Cut it myself in my driveway. Messed up the first two windows. But on the third try I figured out you gotta spray the glass with soapy water first and squeegee from the center out. Been six months now and no bubbling or peeling. Cost me $15 total and I passed inspection last week. Anyone else had luck with cheap tint jobs?

Wow, congrats on passing inspection with a $15 Walmart tint. That's like winning the lottery but with more soapy water involved. I gotta say though, your first two windows probably look like a toddler went at them with a potato stamp, so at least you learned the hard way.
But hey, if it's been six months and no bubbles, you're basically a professional window tinter now. Maybe start a side hustle in your driveway charging people $20 to do theirs. Just make sure you warn them about the first two windows looking like garbage.
Still, that's a pretty good deal for $15. Meanwhile I paid $250 for a tint job that started peeling after three months. Guess I should have gone to Walmart and saved myself the headache. Or at least bought a squeegee.

Didn't @david562 mention those cheap Amazon tint kits too, or am I mixing up threads?
