Took me 4 hours to figure out why my radio kept cutting out

I was working on a CB radio setup for my truck and kept getting static bursts every few minutes. Tried grounding it different ways, swapped antennas, even bought a new power cable. After 4 hours of messing with it, I realized my phone charger was sitting right next to the antenna wire. Moved it a foot away and the interference stopped immediately. Has anyone else had something that simple mess up their signal for way too long?

Gotta push back on this one. If your phone charger was causing that much interference, youve got bigger problems than just a bad cable placement. Modern chargers are usually pretty well shielded. Could be that your antenna setup was already garbage and the charger was just the last straw. Or maybe the charger was a cheap dollar store special that wasnt even certified. Either way, blaming 4 hours on a simple move feels like a cop out when the real fix is probably replacing weak components. Just my two cents lol.

Well honestly that cheap charger could still be the real issue though.
