I thought hand bombing rebar was always faster, then a crew in Phoenix beat me by 40 minutes on a 6 ton pour
For 9 years I ran every deck pour the same way, four guys on the ground throwing #5 bar up over the form and two guys tying. Two months ago I subbed a job in Phoenix and the outfit there had a small skid steer with a rebar buggy that lifted whole bundles onto the deck in one pass. I stood there watching their 5 man crew finish a 6 ton mat at 10:20 while mine would have run past noon. The setup cost them maybe 15 minutes at the start and saved two hours of shoulder work. Does anyone else have a yard still fighting this, or is it just mine that won't buy the attachment?
