Nailed a concrete pour just before a thunderstorm hit this afternoon

Was on a job site in Kansas City yesterday and we had a 12 yard slab pour scheduled for 2pm. Sky started looking nasty around 1:30 so I made the call to pull forward the truck and get the crew moving early. We finished the pour and trowel at 3:45 and the storm rolled in at 4:00 sharp. Nothing got washed out or messed up and the slab set clean. Anybody else had to dodge weather like that and pull off a last minute reorder?

Got lucky on a deck pour myself last month when a popup shower came out of nowhere.

Honestly I used to think you were crazy trying to pour concrete when the forecast was shaky. But last summer I had a buddy who called it right on a 90 degree day and the rain held off just long enough for us to finish his driveway. Changed my whole view on rolling the dice with weather. Now if I see a little cloud I just go for it and hope the timing works out.
