Saw a concrete pump truck parked on a hill in Knoxville and the outrigger pads told a story
Was driving through Knoxville on a job site visit and passed a 47 meter boom pump set up on a pretty steep grade. What got me was the cribbing under the front outrigger pads, four layers of 4x4s stacked and screwed together, not just tossed under there. Whoever set that up took 20 extra minutes to build a proper load spread instead of winging it. I walked over and asked the operator about it and he said the grade was 9 percent so he was not taking chances. How are you all handling outrigger setup on sloped sites, do you build cribbing on site or carry pre-made pads?
