Spent $600 on a cheap solar trailer for site lighting
It died after two weeks of use, the battery couldn't even last a full night shift. Has anyone found a reliable portable lighting option for remote job sites that doesn't cost a fortune?

Bet you could rent a diesel light tower for a few weeks for less than that and it'll actually work, plus you don't have to deal with fixing it when it breaks.

Sure, unless you plan on running that diesel light tower for 12 hours a day for two months straight. Rental fees add up quick and most places charge by the week plus mileage or delivery. You also gotta factor in fuel costs and the hassle of hauling it back if something clogs up the injector. Buying used means you own it and can sell it later if you don't need it anymore.
