A client's 20 minute rant about wash prices made me question my menu
Had a regular today, Sarah, who's been coming to me for like 3 years in Austin. She saw my new $45 signature wash and went off about how a shampoo and scalp massage shouldn't cost more than her haircut at Great Clips. I was getting defensive at first, but then she pointed out that I never actually explain the 15 extra minutes of scalp work and the peppermint oil I use, so it just looks like a cash grab. Made me realize I've been selling services like products instead of experiences, so now I'm rewriting my menu descriptions before the holiday rush. Anyone else ever have a client call out your pricing in a way that actually helped your business?
