Finally broke down and tried those color-depositing conditioners after hating the idea for 6 months

I was convinced they'd look patchy and fake until I used one on a client with faded red hair last week and it blended so perfectly even I couldn't tell where the dye ended and the conditioner started - has anyone else had good luck with these on porous ends?

Porous ends soak up color like crazy. That's actually the trick with these, you gotta watch em close or they'll go way darker than the rest.

Are you sure they're not just stained from a cheap batch of dye, @mary_martin22?
