Just found out how many people actually have a nickel allergy

I was reading a study from the National Institute of Health last night, and it said over 15% of the population is allergic to nickel. I never really thought about it until a client last week mentioned her ears get irritated with certain earrings. Now I'm double-checking all my tools and jewelry for clients. Anyone else have a good way to test for this before a service?
