Yo wait my friend had the exact same thing happen. She switched from that cheap Aussie stuff to a bonding shampoo and her hair stopped snapping off in like 4 months.

Hair snapping off is rough, but I gotta wonder if it's really that deep. Maybe she just needed a trim.
