Rant: I used to mix color by eye, now I measure every single gram
Lost a client 6 months ago because her red came out way too warm and I blamed the lighting in my booth. Now I keep a $12 kitchen scale on my station and weigh every dot of pigment, and my formulas have never matched better. Anyone else switch to weighing or do you still trust your eyeballs?
Oh wow, here's a thing nobody talks about: your booth lighting is lying to you and your eyeballs can't fix a lie. Weighing gets you out of that trap because the scale doesn't care what the light looks like.
