Serious question, did the math on my color bar and I'm switching to pre mixed bowls
For 11 months I mixed every bowl by hand and eyeballed the developer, because that's how my first boss in Toledo taught me and I figured scales were for bakers. Friday a client showed me a phone pic from her June visit and the grow out was banded uneven at the mids, meaning my mix was off more than I wanted to admit. I bought a $40 scale that weekend and my color came out level on all four clients Tuesday, plus I stopped dumping leftover product down the drain. Now I pre portion dry powder into little cups before my first appointment and weigh developer every time. What do you all do for formulas that need three or more colors at once, do you still trust your eye or weigh every single one?
