Spent 45 minutes untangling a single dreadlock today

Client came in with hair so matted I thought I'd need scissors. Took me almost an hour just to get through one lock with a detangling spray and a wide-tooth comb. Anyone else have a nightmare tangle that made you question your career choices?

And @cora863 is right about the rest of the mess just waiting there... that's the part that really gets to me. 45 minutes on one lock feels like the universe trolling you personally, not just testing your patience. I hope you either got it sorted or found some scissors nearby.

Picking at something small for way too long just to feel like you made progress - that's basically adulthood in a nutshell. Spend an hour untangling one thing while the rest of the mess waits patiently in the corner. Sometimes it helps to just cut the knot and move on.
