That client who hated my blowout curls changed my whole approach
Last Tuesday a regular said my finishing spray made her hair feel like cardboard and she stopped booking with me. I switched to a lighter mist and point-cutting the ends instead of using the round brush, now I ask every client how their hair feels before I lock in the style. Anyone else got a blunt critique that flipped their technique?
...and honestly that cardboard comment was the wake up call I needed too, I used to layer so much product trying to make curls last that they felt like a helmet by the end of the day. Now I do a quick texture check mid-dry and ask if they want more movement or more hold, it sounds simple but it changed everything about how I finish up.
