That Wednesday 3 clients canceled and I made $0 in tips

Last month on a random Wednesday, I had three appointments cancel back to back and sat in the chair for 6 hours twiddling my thumbs. The only thing that saved my mood was a walk-in who needed a quick trim and handed me a $10 tip. Has anyone else had a day where your schedule just falls apart for no reason?

Oh man, I gotta push back a little on this one. I've had days like that too, but honestly I don't mind the cancellations as much as most people seem to. I mean, yeah it sucks in the moment, but that quiet time lets me catch up on paperwork or even just sit and think about my next moves for the business (which I rarely get to do otherwise). Plus, you got a $10 tip out of it, which is better than nothing.

Stick with it @alex307, I've been there too and honestly a quiet day can be a lifesaver if you use it right. That $10 tip is just gravy on top of the mental reset you didn't know you needed.
