Tried air-drying client hair vs using my diffuser attachment

I tested air-drying on two clients with similar 3A curls last week and the diffuser gave way more volume and less frizz every time. Has anyone found a way to make air-drying work better for curly hair without it turning into a mess?

I had a client with 3B curls last month where I tried air-drying because she was in a rush. Her roots ended up flat and the bottom just kind of hung there limp. The diffuser gave her way more bounce and definition. Maybe it's just me but I can't seem to get air-drying to work unless I'm constantly flipping and scrunching every 10 minutes, which is more work than just using the diffuser.

Cracked up at "more work than just using the diffuser" because that's exactly my life. I've spent way too many mornings flipping my head upside down every 10 minutes like some kind of curly-haired lawn sprinkler.
