Vent: Botched a toner on a client in my own kitchen last Tuesday
I mixed the toner wrong under my cheap kitchen lights and when she walked outside the color was completely uneven, so I had to strip it all off and start over with a demi-permanent i borrowed from a friend down the street - has anyone else had lighting mess up their work like that?

Knew a friend who did a root touch-up under those yellow bulbs from a ceiling fan. Client walked out looking like a reverse skunk, white stripes where the light didn't hit. Had to do a whole emergency color correction at 10pm.

Bought one of those cheap daylight bulbs from the hardware store after I turned a client's highlights a weird greenish yellow under my kitchen's old fluorescents... same exact nightmare, just different color. The lighting in my kitchen is so bad I could probably dye someone's hair with ketchup and mustard and not notice until they walked outside. Felt like a total idiot having to call my buddy for the emergency color fix, but hey, that's how we learn, right? At least you caught it before she left your house, that's a win in my book. Now I just squint suspiciously at everything under a 5000k bulb before I let anyone out the door.

Bought a cheap daylight lamp from Amazon after I accidentally dyed someone's roots purple under my kitchen lights. Saved my butt more times than I can count, have you tried switching bulbs or just a whole new setup?
