Vent: I thought the 'cold cap' treatment was a total scam for clients going through chemo

A client in my Denver salon was adamant about trying the DigniCap system during her treatments, and I was super skeptical it would do anything. After seeing her keep about 70% of her hair through six rounds, I had to admit it worked way better than I expected. Has anyone else had a client use one of these with real results?

Honestly, I have to disagree on this one. My cousin used a cold cap and it was a really hard process for her, and she still lost a lot of hair. It just didn't work like they said it would. The whole thing felt like it gave false hope during a time when she was already having a tough go. Maybe it helps some people, but I saw it as more trouble than it was worth for the results she got.

Wait, she still lost a lot of hair? That's awful after going through all that trouble. It really does sound like it gave her more stress than help. I can see why you'd be against it.

My friend's mom tried it and still ended up needing a wig. @wendy391, did your friend have to use it for every single chemo session? I heard that's a huge part of the stress.
