My farm save file says 340 hours but I only remember 80 of them

I opened up Stardew Valley after a break and checked the playtime counter. It says 340 hours but I swear I only did a few runs last fall. My partner pointed out I've been "playing" while watching shows for like two years, so the game counts menu time and idle time too. Is that really how it works, or is there something else adding to it? Has anyone else checked and found a number that doesn't match your memory of actually playing?
