Hot take: my old rig's cab felt like a cave until the boss finally swapped in LED lights last month
Same crane, same seat, but I can actually see the load chart and my blind spots now, so why did it take two years and a near miss in Tacoma for anyone to spend the $60?
Sixty bucks is nothing when you're talking about a crane. But here's the thing, I don't buy that same cab same seat story. LED lights change how the whole space feels, sure, but they don't fix the real problem. A dark cab after dark is one thing, but if you couldn't read a load chart in daylight then that's a bigger issue than bulbs. Tacoma near miss wasn't about lighting most likely, it was about someone getting rushed or cutting corners.
