Rant: That one lift in Seattle with the weird wind pattern

Honestly, had a job last month setting steel on a high rise downtown and the wind kept shifting in a way the weather report didn't catch at all. Tbh, what should've been a 3-hour pick turned into a full 8-hour day of waiting and tiny adjustments. Anyone else have a go-to trick for reading sudden wind shifts in a tight city spot?

Wait you were setting steel in that mess last month? That wind tunnel by the library is a total trap. Feels like the weather apps just give up on that whole block.

Yeah, that spot is brutal. I ended up checking the live wind map on Windy.com before heading over, it shows the real gusts better than a basic forecast. I mean, it still sucked, but at least I knew to brace everything extra and pick a calmer window. Honestly, sometimes you just have to wait it out for an hour if you can.

Checking the wind map is smart... I just stood there for ten minutes watching my tape measure blow away like a sad kite.
