Vent: 12 hour shift on a Grove GMK5250L and my neck is wrecked

I was running picks at a refinery job near Baton Rouge last Wednesday. Third day in a row of tight loads and constant crane setup adjustments. By hour 10 I could barely turn my head. Anyone else get neck pain from staring up at the boom all day? Got any stretches or seat adjustments that help?

Oh man, I totally disagree with you there. I actually think that crane seat is one of the most comfortable I've ever used. I've done 14 hour shifts on that exact model and my neck felt fine, it's way better than the old Link-Belts where you're craned over at a weird angle. Maybe you've got the seat too far back or you're slouching forward when you're watching the load. Try pulling the seat closer to the console and tilt the seat base down a notch so your head sits more upright instead of craning up.

You're crazy, that seat kills my lower back every time.
