Broke through a 3 year writing block by flipping my prompt upside down and writing the bad guy first
I had been stuck on the same short story since 2021, just opening the doc and staring at the blinking cursor like an idiot. Last Tuesday I tried a prompt that said to write the villain's version of events before the hero even shows up, and I cranked out 2,800 words in one sitting. Has anyone else used a backwards prompt like that, and did it stick or did you slide back into old habits after a few days?

Man, that villain-first trick got me unstuck too, but you gotta start a new doc each time or old habits creep back.
