Wait, did you write the prompt down before you passed out or did you just wake up with it in your notes app? I've done that exact thing, typed some nonsense at 3am and then found a whole page in the morning that I barely remembered. My move now is to copy whatever I wrote straight into a doc and just start free writing under it, no editing for the first pass. The laundromat thing actually makes sense, something about the noise and the waiting kinda forces your brain to wander into weird places.
