I found 'She only came here on rainy Tuesdays' etched into the wood, which makes me wonder if a writer should use that as a locked-in rule for a character or see it as a springboard for breaking expectations.

Use it as a rule... then have her show up on a sunny Friday.

Honestly, the "sunny Friday" part is a bit off. If you use it as a hard rule, you're setting yourself up. Weather apps are wrong all the time. Last week mine said rain, so I planned indoor stuff, and it was clear skies. Better to just pick the day and roll with it, sunny or not. Otherwise you'll just keep waiting for a perfect condition that might never line up.
