Found out only about 5 percent of the people who join a creator hub like this one actually post anything
I was poking around the FAQ and help pages here a few days ago, after 7 months of lurking in the Creators Hub, and a stat jumped out at me: the site folks said only around 5 percent of members ever write a single post. That number stuck with me all week, because it means for every person typing, like 19 others are just reading. I get it, I lurked for 7 months myself, but now I keep wondering what got me to finally hit reply when so many don't. What made you write your first post instead of staying quiet?
Oh man, yes, I read everything in sight for months before I said a word. I probably went through like 200 threads, saved a bunch of them, even wrote comments in my head and then deleted them before hitting send. What finally got me was a post where someone asked a really basic question about lighting and nobody had answered yet. I knew the answer, it was easy for me, and I felt dumb just sitting there watching them get no reply. So I typed three sentences, hit post, and my heart was pounding like I'd just jumped out of a plane. It's funny how scary that little reply button feels when it's really no big deal.
