Hit 10,000 views on a single video and felt nothing

Spent 6 months grinding out content and finally got that milestone I thought would make me happy, but honestly it just showed me how random the algorithm is. Anyone else get to a number they were chasing and just feel kind of empty?

Man I hit 25K on a gaming clip I threw together in 20 minutes and it took me 4 months to get there. The video I actually spent 3 days editing barely cracked 200 views. That emptiness hit me hard too. What helped me was stopping the number chasing and just focusing on making one solid video every week that I would actually watch myself. The views came slower but they felt WAY more real when they did. Maybe try putting your energy into the process instead of the milestone and see if that changes how you feel.

Notice this same pattern everywhere, not just online. You can spend hours making a home cooked meal from scratch and everyone picks at it, but order pizza and they devour it in minutes. Or spend weeks planning a thoughtful birthday gift and they're more excited about the silly card you grabbed at the register. The stuff we throw together quickly often hits some kind of accidental sweet spot that our careful work misses. But those quick wins don't build anything lasting. The real satisfaction comes from knowing you made something you're proud of, regardless of who claps.
