Hit 50,000 followers yesterday and honestly it feels weird
I mean, I've been posting content on this platform for about 18 months now, usually just random tutorials and behind-the-scenes stuff from my studio. Yesterday I checked my dashboard and saw I crossed 50,000 followers. That number just kind of snuck up on me. I remember being excited when I hit 500. Now I get messages from people saying they used one of my lighting setups for their wedding shoots and it worked out great. It matters because it makes me feel like all those late nights editing and answering questions in the comments were worth something. But also I'm a little scared because now I feel like I have to keep up some kind of quality standard. Is this impostor syndrome normal or am I overthinking it?

Man that impostor syndrome hit me square in the face when I crossed 30k and I still deal with it honestly. The thing that helped me was remembering that 50,000 people didn't follow me because I was perfect, they followed because my stuff was useful to them. Just keep doing what you were doing before the number went up, don't try to change your whole style now. If you start overthinking every post you'll burn yourself out real quick, trust me I've been there.

Last March I hit 10k and thought that was huge. Now I'm at 43k and it feels completely different. That fear you're talking about - yeah it's normal. Every time I post now I second guess myself way more than I did back then. The impostor syndrome thing is real, especially when strangers start relying on your advice. Just remember those people followed you for what you were already doing, not some perfect version of you.
