My whole video edit crashed right before a client deadline last Thursday
The project file corrupted in DaVinci Resolve and I had to rebuild the timeline from scratch in 4 hours. Anyone know a good auto-backup plugin that actually works?

Rebuilding a timeline from scratch in four hours sounds like a special kind of nightmare. I can't even imagine the panic of watching the clock tick down while you're just re-linking clips. That auto-save really picks the worst times to just give up on you, doesn't it? I'd be scared to touch the project file again after that.

That "special kind of nightmare" reese124 mentioned is everywhere now, like when an app update wipes your settings. It feels like we're all just one glitch away from losing hours of work. What simple tech thing broke for you last week?

Oof that "rebuild from scratch" part is brutal. Did you have any kind of backup at all, like Resolve's own project backups, or was the whole library just gone? I've had the auto-save fail on me before when a project database got weird.
