Rant: Blew $200 on a "pro" editing course that was just YouTube stuff repackaged
Last month I dropped $200 on an online video editing course from some creator with 50k followers. All 12 hours were just basic cuts and color grading I could have learned for free on YouTube. The guy literally said "add a s-curve for contrast" for 20 minutes straight. I felt like an idiot when I realized he didn't even cover multicam or keyframing. Has anyone else fallen for an overpriced course from a popular creator that turned out to be a total waste?

Just learned to spot red flags and stick with free trial periods first.

Man I used to be totally opposite on this. Thought free trials were just a waste of time and you could spot bad deals right away. But I got burned bad a couple times and now I'm with you all the way. There's something about letting people show you what they actually have before you commit. It weeds out the ones who talk big but can't deliver. Plus it gives you time to really see if they follow through or just ghost you after the first week. Changed my whole approach honestly.
