Rant: My old editing workflow was a disaster zone

Used to export every video as a giant .avi file, then drag it into a separate program just to compress it. Took me like 45 minutes per clip for no reason. Last Tuesday I finally switched to using the built-in export settings in DaVinci Resolve and cut that down to 8 minutes. Has anyone else had a stupid workflow habit they ignored for way too long?

@grantp28 yeah honestly I always thought the extra program made the files smaller so it was worth the time. never questioned it until my buddy saw me doing it and laughed his ass off. Total game changer once I actually tried the Resolve exports though.

45 minutes per clip? That is insane. I can't believe you sat through that for even a week let alone however long you were doing it. I would have lost my mind on day one. Glad you finally saw the light with the Resolve exports.
