Stopped by the new creators co-op space downtown and changed my mind about solo work

I've always thought I work better alone at home, no distractions. Last Tuesday I walked into the Creators Hub co-op on 5th Street just to check it out. There was a guy filming a tutorial right next to someone editing audio, and nobody seemed bothered. The energy actually pushed me to finish a project I'd been procrastinating on for weeks. Has anyone else found that being around other creators helps you focus more than being isolated?

Oh man @gavin692 I feel that so hard. The people-watching thing is real, I spent my first twenty minutes at the hub just staring at someone layering beats on a laptop and wondering if I looked like I belonged there. But then something clicked, like the ambient noise of other people working made my brain stop overthinking and just... do the thing. It's weird how sometimes being surrounded by people actually quiets the noise in your head instead of adding to it.

That energy really does something weird to your brain right? I once sat in a coffee shop for three hours pretending to work on a screenplay but really I was just psyching myself out trying to look productive around strangers. Glad it actually helped you finish something though, I just end up people watching and then feeling guilty about it.

Feel that on the people-watching guilt thing, it's rough.
