The guy who runs the local maker space told me my project wasn't worth showing
He said it at the Tuesday night meetup in front of 8 people, and I've been thinking about it for 3 weeks. Do you keep sharing stuff in a place like that, or do you find a different room?

Why does one guy's opinion get to decide what room you belong in? Here's the thing nobody's said yet: he might have been doing you a favor, just not the way he meant it. A maker space run by a guy who calls out your project in front of everyone tells you a lot about that place, and none of it is about your project. The real question isn't whether you keep sharing there, it's whether that room ever gave you honest feedback or just one dude's taste dressed up as a rule. You could stay and keep building in spite of him, or you could find a room where people actually want to see what you're making. Either way, don't let one Tuesday night live in your head rent free for three weeks.
