The thing about editing your own work is you miss half the mistakes
I spent 6 hours on a script last week, read it three times, and still shipped a version with 'teh' in the second sentence. My editor caught it in 30 seconds. Has anyone else found a reliable way to catch your own blind spots?

Read it three times" - did you try reading it backwards yet?

Tried that and it just looks like the same gibberish backwards.

Three passes in 24 hours is the trick I swear by, not just three reads in a row. Your brain needs to forget the words first before it can actually see them again. I do one pass in the morning and one right before bed, and the third one the next day is when I finally spot the typos from the first round.
