Three hours to upload one 4K video, what am I missing?

I spent all Sunday fighting with a 12-minute clip that kept stalling on upload, turns out my router was throttling the connection. Anyone else have upload speeds that look fine on paper but crawl when you actually push a big file?

My old Netgear did the same thing, took me forever to realize QoS was killing my uploads too.
