Vent: My first livestream crashed 4 minutes in when I had 60 people watching
I was set up in my home office in Austin with a new mic and lighting, ready to discuss editing workflows, and the streaming software just froze mid-sentence. I spent 20 minutes restarting everything while viewers typed "is it buffering" in the chat, and by the time I got back only 12 people were left. How do you guys handle tech fails without killing the whole session?

A buddy of mine had his stream die right when he hit 50 viewers during a guitar tutorial. He just pulled out his phone, switched to a cell cam, and kept playing while joking about "the low budget version." By the end people were actually asking if he'd do more streams that way on purpose.

Had a buddy in Portland who built his whole stream around woodworking. First big stream, 80 people watching. His camera mount snapped right off the desk. Took him 15 minutes to rig a replacement with duct tape and a stack of books. He kept talking the whole time though. Just narrated his frustration. People actually liked it. Said it felt more real. He ended with 65 viewers still there. The key is to never go silent. Keep talking even when things break.
