When the livestream cut out mid-demo in Portland
I was doing a live product demo for a small craft supplies brand from my apartment in Portland, and about 12 minutes in, the whole stream just died. My router had been fine all week, but of course it picked that moment to reboot itself. I ended up switching to my phone's hotspot and going back live with a 2 minute apology intro, and somehow the audience stuck around. Has anyone else had a tech failure during a live event and how did you keep people from leaving?

Wait, your router just chose that exact moment to reboot itself? That's wild. Mine did the same thing once during a Q&A for a local makers market, right when someone asked about shipping times. Ended up doing the whole thing from my bathroom floor on a spare phone, and honestly the audience loved the chaos. People stuck around mostly because they wanted to see if it would crash again, I think.
