A phishing email almost got me yesterday because it looked like a real invoice from a client.
I was rushing through my inbox and almost clicked the link before noticing the sender's address was 'support@cl1ent-payments.com', not the usual domain, so what are the best ways you all double-check suspicious messages before opening them?

Glad you caught that, those fake invoices are way too common now.

Honestly @emmawood, my inbox is basically a museum for bad fakes at this point. Got one last week for "web hosting" from a company I've never heard of, and the email was just a blurry PNG file. Another one tried to charge me for "annual software renewal" on a program I don't even own. You really have to check the sender address on everything now, it's gotten so sloppy.

My cousin's small business almost paid a $500 invoice for "Google Ads" that came from a gmail account. The logo looked legit but the email was totally wrong.
