Found out my router was hosting a Wi-Fi network called "Free Airport WiFi" in my own apartment
I was messing around in my router settings last Tuesday and noticed a second network name I never set up, just sitting there next to mine. Turns out my old roommate had flipped on the guest network two years ago and named it "Free Airport WiFi" as a joke, and it had been wide open this whole time with no password. I killed it in about 30 seconds, but then I checked the connected devices list and saw a laptop I didn't recognize that had been pulling data for 11 days. Has anyone else found stuff hiding in their router that they never turned on? Curious if there's an easy way to get alerts when a new device joins.
