PSA: I finally got my mom to stop using the same password for everything

For years, she used our old dog's name plus '123' for every single login (her bank, her email, everything). I set her up with a password manager on her laptop about three months ago after a phishing scam hit her book club's email list. She called me today, actually proud, because she had to generate a new secure password for her library account and did it herself. Has anyone else had success getting a non-techy family member to make a real change like that?

What password manager did you use that finally clicked for her?

Nice. I read an article that said the real win is getting them to use the manager, not just install it, so that's huge for your mom. @kelly_craig, mine finally got it with the one that can fill logins on her phone too.

Honestly, that "secure password" is probably still written on a sticky note stuck to her monitor.
