Remember when passwords were just 4 digits for everything

Back in '99 I used the same 4 digit PIN for my voicemail, bank card, and work login. Now I've got a password manager with 47 entries and I still get locked out of my email twice a month. Anyone else miss when life was simpler or do you actually like all these extra layers?

Noticed the same thing as @wendy391, what used to be simple now takes a whole checklist just to get through the day.

Moved everything to a password manager about three years back and it actually fixed most of my problems. Took a weekend to go through old accounts and reset them all to random strings, that was the hard part. Now I just copy paste whatever 20 character mess it gives me and move on. Still have my old 4 digit PIN for the alarm code though, some things don't need to be complicated.
