That free public WiFi at the downtown library is not a community service, it's a trap
I stopped by the main branch on 5th Street last Tuesday to print some forms and noticed nobody was using the library's guest network. Everyone was on their phones with data. I asked the IT guy about it and he said they had 3 separate phishing incidents traced to that connection in the last month alone. Am I the only one who thinks offering free unprotected WiFi without a basic warning sign is just asking for trouble?

Sure, let's all just hand out our banking info while we're at it.

That's a hard no from me too. Too many people out there looking to take advantage of good faith. You'd have to be crazy to share something like that online for any reason. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but in my experience, protecting your personal info is one of the smartest things you can do. Way too many scams out there waiting for you to slip up.

So did you see what happened to my buddy last month? He thought he was signing up for some free webinar and next thing you know his checking account was drained. @the_holly's got the right idea honestly, trust your gut on this stuff.
