TIL using a password manager changed how I handle online logins
I used to think I could remember or write down all my passwords. Then I learned how many sites get hacked and how often people reuse passwords. A password manager made me create a unique, strong password for every single account. It also fills them in for me, so I don't have to type them out. The hardest part was the initial setup, adding all my old logins. Now I only need to remember one master password. It feels much safer knowing a data breach at one site won't unlock all my other accounts.

Putting all your logins in one place seems like asking for trouble. If that master password gets cracked or forgotten, everything is locked out or stolen. The old way of remembering a few strong passwords might be less of a headache.

Just gotta remember that one master password is easier than fifty, unless it's 'password123'.

The setup is brutal but worth it. I did it over a weekend with a beer. Go through your saved browser logins first, then your email for "forgot password" links. You'll find accounts you forgot existed. Change every recycled password, especially the old ones like "Fluffy123" from 2010. The peace of mind after is real.
