Update: My cousin got a text about a package he never ordered
He clicked the link and it asked for his address and a small fee to 'release' the delivery, which seemed off. I told him it was a phishing scam and to delete it, but now he's worried they have his number. What's the best way to report this so they can't trick more people?

I forwarded the whole text to 7726 last month (that's the spam report number). It only takes a minute and your carrier actually looks into it.

Totally agree with @grace_gonzalez46, that 7726 number is legit. I did the same thing a while back and the spam texts from that number actually stopped.
