Used to think password managers were a scam until my crypto exchange got hacked

I was super skeptical about paying for a password manager for like 2 years. Then someone got into my Binance account through a password I reused on some random forum. Lost about $300 in crypto before I caught it. My buddy recommended Bitwarden and I spent 30 minutes setting it up. Has anyone else had a close call that made them switch to a manager?

Honestly it's probably just a daily limit or they got spooked and ran. Ngl $300 feels more like a test run than somebody trying to clean you out.
