Rant: I paid $12 for a tiny joke book at a garage sale and it bombed at my brother's cookout
I saw this little book called 500 Dad Jokes at a garage sale in Tulsa two weeks ago and figured twelve bucks was a steal for showdown ammo. Tried three of them at my brother's cookout on Saturday and got nothing but groans, not even a pity laugh from my niece. Turns out half the book is just puns about cheese and I already used the good ones at Easter. So now I'm out twelve dollars and my family thinks I peaked in April. Where do you all actually find fresh material that lands, or do you just recycle the same five jokes and hope nobody keeps track?
