That pun contest at the county fair last Saturday was rigged
I told a classic 'why did the scarecrow win an award' joke and got third place behind some guy who just said 'lift' real loud. The judges were all from the same church group, no way that was fair. Anyone else get stiffed at a dad joke competition?

Yeah, "rigged for sure" really hits the nail on the head. I've seen this kind of thing happen too many times where the rules just seem to shift out of nowhere right when things are about to go a certain way. It's like they set it up so the outcome is already decided before anyone even gets a fair shot. Honestly, it just makes you feel kind of hopeless and tired, like why even bother trying if the deck is always stacked against you? It's rough having to deal with that kind of frustration when all you wanted was a level playing field.
