Cold brew exploded on my counter at 6am, now I strain differently

My Mason jar setup finally betrayed me after 8 months of use. The lid popped off and coffee went everywhere, all over my white cabinets and the dog. I switched to a cold brew pitcher with a built-in filter from Target for $15, and honestly the cleanup alone is worth it. Has anyone else had a brew vessel fail on them, or am I just cursed with weak glass?
