Finally found the trick to stop my morning pour-over from stalling out
I was getting so frustrated with my coffee taking 6 or 7 minutes to drip through, which made it bitter and cold. After watching a ton of videos, I tried grinding my beans a bit coarser than I thought was right. Turns out my cheap grinder was making way too many fines that clogged the filter. I switched to a 20-second pour and let it bloom for 45 seconds before adding the rest of the water. Now my brew finishes in 3 minutes flat and tastes way cleaner. Anyone else fight with inconsistent grind sizes from a budget burr grinder?

Grinding coarser just means i'm trading flavor for speed, so i'll take the longer drawdown.

Wait... you're actually okay with a 4-5 minute drawdown every single morning? I had a V60 brew take 4:20 once and I almost threw the whole thing out. That's like watching paint dry but with worse coffee if you mess up.
